MOUNTAIN GORILLA SAFARI
In a country ravaged by war and genocide, mountain gorillas are a beacon of hope, not least because they have survived the horrors of the last 15 years.

Funds generated from viewers votes will go towards a project that will benefit the 700 mountain gorillas in the region.  Besides its world-renowned mountain gorilla population, Rwanda is home to 96 mammal, 665 bird, 31 amphibian, 206 reptile and 2,288 plant species.  Discovered on October 17, 1902 on the ridges of the volcanic Virunga mountains by German explorer Captain Robert von Beringe, the mountain gorilla was named Gorilla gorilla beringei in honor of the Captain.

The projects impact positively the Mountain Gorillas, country and people close to the gorilla habitat.  Focus on the country’s logo and symbol as the mountain gorilla – consider putting one on the national flag.
Promote investors – especially to provide hotels in Kinigi, Gisenyi and Ruhengeri so tourists can be closer to their early morning climb to visit the mountain gorillas.  Assistance for this area will protect the habitat for the mountain gorilla.  A mountain gorilla group in Rwanda during the midday rest period.
